Introduction

The AERO 40 II Disc is designed with a 23mm wider inner width, providing more popular and comfortable options for wider tires. Its clincher & tubeless ready feature ensures easy setup and compatibility. Trust this expertly crafted disc for a smooth and efficient ride.
The AERO II Disc is the second-generation product. While retaining the 23mm internal width, the rim has been upgraded to a U/V Rim Shape. It combines U-shape stability with V-shape aerodynamics for lower drag, better stiffness, and smoother handling across all terrains. Changes have also been made to the brand logo design.

Features

Upgraded Ultra-Lightweight Performance

At just 1178g per pair, the ICAN AERO 40Ⅱ Disc features a refined carbon layup that cuts 204g off the original weight without compromising stiffness or durability. Among the lightest aero disc wheels—built for racers and climbers chasing peak efficiency.

Optimized U/V Rim Profile for Aerodynamics and Control

The upgraded U/V rim profile combines the aerodynamic stability of a U-shape with the wind-cutting efficiency of a V-shape, delivering reduced drag and better performance in crosswinds. This design also enhances lateral stiffness for improved power transfer during sprints and climbs, while offering smoother tire-to-rim transitions for better handling, comfort, and versatility across varied terrains.

Enhanced 23mm Inner Width

Featuring a wider 23mm internal rim, this update accommodates wider tires (28–32mm+) for better grip, improved comfort, and increased stability—ideal for long-distance rides, all-road conditions, and modern wide-tire setups

Enhanced Hub Design for Superior Performance

The AERO II disc wheels feature the upgraded ICAN D91 hub, replacing the previous D01 model. It adopts the popular 45T star ratchet system for faster engagement and is equipped with premium S&S steel bearings for improved durability and smoothness. The freehub body has been cleverly optimized, removing excess material without affecting cassette compatibility, reducing the total hub weight to just 280g. This smart redesign contributes to the overall lighter and more efficient wheelset performance.

Premium Sapim CX-Ray Spokes

Built with Sapim CX-Ray aero spokes and Sapim Secure Lock nipples for unmatched strength, tension retention, and long-lasting performance—delivering smooth, stable rides with every revolution.

Tubeless-Compatible Versatility

Compatible with both tubeless and clincher tires, this 2-way tubeless-ready design offers lower rolling resistance, fewer flats, and the flexibility to adapt to your preferred road setup. Ideal for aero road bikes and lightweight climbing builds.

UCI Certification

AERO 40 II disc wheels are certified and approved by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), which governs internationalbicycle racing. Only products that pass rigorous testing receive this certification, allowing them to be used in UCI-sanctioned road races.

Customer photo review of AERO 40 Disc

Unfortunately, my endurance bike, the Specialized Aethos sport 105 Shimano, made from 9R carbon, had a frame fracture, so I have not yet had a chance to install the beautiful ICAN Airo 40 with the DT SWISS 240 hub. The moment Specialized confirms warranty I will buy tiers. I'm thinking 28 mm with, for a smooth and comfortable ride, what do you think? Regards

AERO 40 Disc

I am very satisfied. Good communication with Peggy. The wheels arrived in good condition. They are beautiful!

AERO 40 II Disc

They are strong and look great.

AERO 40 II Disc

I received my wheels promptly, absolutely beautiful and light, great customer service, I would highly recommend these wheels to anyone that wants a great value and quality .

AERO 40 II Disc

I purchased the Aero 40 ii. Weight came in at 1161 grams without rim tape. This weight was achieved using steel spokes. Very impressive.

AERO 40 II Disc

This wheel set is perfect and feels high end for such a low price. I hope I can always come back and buy another pair of wheels cause these are the best so far.

AERO 40 II Disc

I want lighter wheels for my bike. This model fits me perfectly. Great wheels. Looks So cool and professional. Really like it. Worth the price.

AERO 40 II Disc

Great set of wheels! Well build and light.

AERO 40 Disc

They look good quality, aesthetic nothing to complain about, no sail. Impeccable campaign Cassette. Remains plus than to try. Delivery plus fast than expected.

AERO 40 Disc

3,000 miles since I started riding them, the brake pads that came with them are just about finished. I haven't been too kind to these puppies, they've probably got 400 miles of gravel on em plus various rail trails and rough city streets. Rim brake material still intact, works about as well as when I first started riding them. Experienced a broken spoke nipple during a ride on the rear wheel. Wheel stayed true enough to ride the final 9 miles home. Replaced nipple and wheel came back into shape. No other issues since then.

AERO 40 Disc

Wheels arrived in mint condition. Quality is excellent and rides light, yet solid. the biggest bang for my buck.

AERO 40 Disc

I switched out my aluminum wheels for these just to give carbon a try...and I like it! The weight savings (~400g) were immediately noticeable; the wheels spin up faster and the ride is much more smooth given the dampening characteristics of carbon vs. aluminum. The wheelset arrived today (with excellent packaging) and I immediately went out for a 25-mile ride to give them a try. On a route where I have averaged ~19-19.5 MPH over the last few weeks, I instead realized an average of 22 MPH. The construction of the wheels appear to be top notch and the wheels were 100% true upon arrival with proper spoke tension. Durability and longevity are TBD but so far so good.

AERO 40 Disc

Great wheels for the price. They spin smoothly and true.

AERO 40 Disc

I have about 500miles and 3 races on these wheels and they're still going strong. No problem with spokes or anything.

AERO 40 Disc

4000 miles in 6 months/1crash. they still working like the first day. Never had an issue. Strong / light / Great carbón rims.

AERO 40 Disc

First off let me start by addressing a common misconception that the public has against products that are made in China. When people hear "made in China" they automatically think "cheap" "poorly made" "will fall apart". People don't realize that the quality of products made in China these days are on par our sometimes even better than American made products. Major companies like trek, zipp, reynolds etc spend millions of dollars in advertising which naturally makes their products more expensive. Try to put your misconceptions aside when buying products from China nowadays. With that said my initial view of these wheels are a 5 and I didn't have many doubts because of the high reviews these wheels already had. Shipping was fast. Very light and it looks great on my specialized bike.

AERO 40 Disc

I was very unsure about buying $600 carbon rims from China. There were not many reviews of these when I bought them. I have put almost 3000 miles on these rims. I did have 1 spoke nipple unscrew itself...easy fix. I broke another spoke after riding some horrible roads and had to put a new one in and true the wheel. Other than that, the rims are great and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy carbon rims.

AERO 40 Disc

Quality seems really good and they look great on my bike, the wheels really seem to help dampen all the small little bumps and cracks in the road, I only have about 15miles on them right now but I'm extremely happy with them. This are some of the best wheels I’ve ever gotten. They are light, pretty good made, and they are COMFORTABLE. They delivered super fast and the customer service is great! They look beautiful. I’ll post some pictures of the ones I got later.

AERO 40 Disc

These are beautiful wheels, I brought them for my Husbands bike. he loves them he said the bike is lighter now and he's able to ride longer and more speed . they were installed by a Trek dealer which said they are real good looking wheels. they were pretty true when he installed them. I ordered another set for my road bike cannot wait to get my and have them installed.
