40mm disc carbon fiber wheelset is a great aero wheel for those who also like to venture up the side of mountains. The main difference for AERO 40 disc wheels and AERO 40 Plus disc wheels is the inner width. AERO 40 plus disc wheels have 23mm inner width while AERO 40 disc wheels have 18.35mm.
The rims are tubeless ready profile. The wide shape allows your tire to fit in nicely with our rim, guiding the air past and stopping it from breaking up and causing drag. We have also tested these wheels to make sure they are just as strong and stiff.
Aero 40mm carbon wheels are available with DT240EXP and 350SL disc brake hubs. The 350SL is the more affordable option, and the 240EXP is the lighter option. They both feature DT Swiss' toolless design for when you need to service then and their Star Ratchet system for an almost instant drive connection. Both styles of the hub are available in Centerlock.
These wheels are built up with Sapim CX-Ray spokes. CX-Ray spokes are industry leading in their low weight and strong build qualities, the perfect mix for our wheelsets.
